Year 6

Welcome to Year 6

The Year 6 teachers are Miss McSteen in class 6McS, Miss Brennan in class 6B and Mrs Naylor (Additional Teacher)

Children will also work alongside Ms Moran and Mrs Hobin our teaching assistants, who provide some individual and small group support for pupils.

Year 6 is a busy year dedicated to supporting and preparing pupils to work to the very best of their abilities.

Our Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl (2023-24):

There are a number of opportunities to take on roles of responsibility around the school, including Head Boy and Head Girl, Reading Ambassadors, Maths Ambassadors, School Councillors, Eco-Warriors, Library Assistants, Play Leaders and School Prefects.

Year 6 children are taught to be prepared, organised and responsible, which plays an important part in getting ready for their transition to High School. Whilst Year 6 is hard work, at the end of the year we are all very proud of our achievements.

We are looking forward to an exciting and busy year ahead!

Year 6 PGL Residential

Year 6 began their journey with our annual residential trip to Winmarleigh Hall in Lancashire, which is surrounded by 50 acres of woodlands and gardens.  Children experienced a variety of thrilling activities which encouraged team building and raised their self-confidence, self-esteem and motivation. During this trip, many pupils and staff overcame their fears also! It was a trip we will all remember and a fabulous way to start Year 6!
