Pupils from Year 5, with support from the Forestry Commision, spent the day over at the Nursery. Their mission was to plant a miniature forest. After lots of  hard work digging the baby trees were planted.

When a hole was finished it was then time to plant the baby tree, called a sapling. The sapling was  carefully lowered into the hole, and covered with soil.  

Another sapling carefully planted, then the digging continued. 

We also dug up several worms.
