Our Values And Ethos

We are very proud of our school which is a caring and happy environment.

Our school is a warm, welcoming and inclusive one where children are supported and encouraged to enjoy learning and to develop their full potential.

"The wide and rich range of experiences offered to pupils contributes well to their learning and enjoyment." Ofsted

"Pupils praise and acknowledge the contribution of others. They show a pride in their learning and progress as they know how well it will be received and praised. Their behaviour is outstanding." RE Inspection

We are a larger than average Catholic Primary School which works closely with our Parish to support the children in their preparations for the Sacraments.

We are a two form entry school and cater for children ages 3-11. There is also provision for younger children in the nearby Fountains and Vauxhall Children's Centre. For further information click here.

At St John's we strive to develop a life long love of learning through

There is a strong community spirit here at St John's where parents and carers are very much welcomed and listened to.

We have strong partnerships with our parents and carers as well as the parish and other outside agencies.

Why is St John's special ...

Our Christian ethos is reflected in our school community and warm supportive relationships with each other and staff.

A hard working, dedicated staff and governing body work tirelessly to ensure that all our pupils feel happy and safe and that they are motivated and excited about learning at St John's

"Pupils achieve well and enjoy learning. They are extremely positive in their attitudes to learning and eagerly seize the opportunities to participate in the wide range of out-of-class activities on offer." OFSTED
