A pupil drawing a mixed media picture of Alice in Wonderland. Started with pencil, then a combination of felt tips and oil pastel to create the colours. Once completed the drawing was scaled up to create this fantastic painting. 

The Queen of Hearts

Inspired by the picture of the Queen from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (IMDB link). The pupils thought she was the meanest looking of the Queen of Hearts drawings. 

The Mouse

It took a great deal of  time spent working patiently and carefully to create a beautifully detailed picture of the Mouse. 

Painting a large-scale image of this marvellous chap. An A3 image was painted first, using felt tips then the image was enlarged and paint and pen to used to complete the masterpiece. 

The Queen of Hearts

 

After some incredibly hard work, a stunning piece of art with fantastic design and flare was created. 

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee

Here the design was focussed on Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. After careful consideration of the shapes shading was used to make shapes curve and add depth. 

The Caterpillar

The image of the Caterpillar was drawn first, then the larger areas were filled with base colours. Details and shading were then carefully added. 

The White Rabbit

Here is the White Rabbit. drawn in a small felt tip version first. The image was then enlarged using paint and pen. 

Another White Rabbit this time in the style of the original Disney artwork. 

The Jabberwocky

Beware the Jabberwocky he might nibble you for his tea. 

Initial pen drawing transformed in to an enlarged painting. 

The Cheshire Cat

“I’m not crazy, my reality is just different than yours” The Cheshire Cat.

Some children chose to paint the Blue Cheshire cat from the recent Alice in Wonderland Films, but decided to do more pink/ purple versions of the Cheshire Cat. Both started working in A3 then they did enlarged paintings

The Queen of Hearts

Another pupil worked really hard to make this wonderful Queen of Hearts mask. She used mod rock to build up the hair on her mask. She then painted her mask to make her look like the notorious queen. She finished off her mask with a wonderful feather fit for any queen. 

 

Another Fabulous Queen of Hearts

A Queen of Hearts Soldier

An amazing Queen of Hearts Card soldier. After looking hard at the shape, card was used with plastic sheets and mod rock to build up the shape. It was then painted with a mixture of PVA glue and paint, to change the colour of the surface to match the design. 

The Mouse

A Mouse mask. Mod rock and plastic sheets were used to make the shape of the mask. Wire was added to make the whiskers and it was finished off a paint coating to add in colour, details and patterns.

Making Mad Hatter Masks

The Mad Hatter has wild hair and make up. Both pupils chose to use different colours for their masks.

They finished off their mask by embellishing them with feathers, lace, net and material for hair. 

Cheshire Cat

An awesome Cheshire Cat mask. It took lots of construction and hard work to make the shape of the cats face from the original human shaped base. 

The Queen of Hearts 

The Queen of Hearts was definately our most popular character, here a crown on the top of the mask and some subtle jewels were added for detail.
