Egyptians at the Museum

As part of our ‘Ancient Egypt’ topic, Year 3 had the opportunity to become archaeologists for the day in the Liverpool World Museum.  We were able to handle 7000 year old artefacts, and even stick our hands inside a canopic jar that once contained a mummy’s lungs! The children were given a range of different tasks which involved looking closely at artefacts to look for clues about different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life; such as hieroglyphics, gods and daily life.
