Breakfast Club Agreement
Children will not be able to attend breakfast club without a signed agreement.
We would like to welcome you to our St John’s Breakfast Club.
Breakfast Club is available for school aged children from Reception to Year 6.
Opening times
Breakfast Club will be open Monday – Friday 7.45am -8.45am.
The Breakfast Club is located in the School Hall. This service is NOT open access. Children must be dropped off at the Breakfast Club door by a responsible adult.
Children are provided with toast, bagels and a variety of different cereals. Juice and water is also available.
Please discourage children from bringing their own toys in unless requested by staff as we do not accept liability for any goods damaged or lost when brought on to our premises.
Payment and booking must be in advance, and made before 3pm on the day you would like your child to attend.
Payments should be made through your ‘School Money’ account.
Breakfast Club information
Hours
We open our doors at 7.45am. In line with our insurance, children are not allowed on the premises before this. You can come in anytime up to 8.25am when the doors will close and breakfast ends. If you come after this time you will not be permitted entry.
Staff will escort the children to their classes when school starts.
Staffing
We employ staff from within the school. Children will see lots of familiar faces during breakfast club.
All staff have an enhanced DBS check, first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene certificates.
Bookings
Bookings should be made before 3pm the day BEFORE you wish your child to attend. You should make this booking on your ‘School Money’ account.
Payments
Failure to pay or continued missed payments will result in the loss of your child’s place. We will endeavour to claim back any outstanding fees through Liverpool City Council’s Debt Recovery Policy.
Costs:
The cost of Breakfast Club is
£2 per child.
£1 for siblings attending.
There is a £1 penalty fee added if you do not book your breakfast club place 3pm on the day BEFORE you wish your child to attend. For siblings, this will be added to each child’s account.
Activities
A range of activities will be available during both clubs, for example:
- Quiet corner/reading
- Arts and craft
- Games and puzzles
- Lego
- Dance and Music
Behaviour and Code of Conduct
Children will be expected to adhere to the school and club rules.
We reserve the right to withdraw a place if behaviour is not acceptable.
All school policies and procedures apply to our breakfast club.
First Aid and Medical
A first aid trained member of staff will be at every session.
The majority of our staff hold paediatric first aid certificates.
If a child becomes unwell during the club, parents will be contacted to arrange for their child to be collected.
Children who require medication such as an inhaler or epipen will need an additional set of medication to be left at school.
Drop off
Children must be dropped off at the entrance door to the hall by a responsible adult.
You can come in anytime up to 8.25am when the doors will close and breakfast ends. If you come after this time you will not be permitted entry.
