Class 6McS travelled to Formby for a Retreat day. The aim of the day was to support the children as they prepare for their transition to Secondary school. Activities included looking at our journey throughout St. John’s and we listed some of the amazing memories we have made during our time in Primary School. We placed these memories on a tree to symbolise where we began at the roots and how far we have come as the branches spread. Following this, we worked in groups to build a bridge representing our journey from Primary school to Secondary school. The final part of our day included some reflection and prayer and a peaceful walk through the forest.
